Inexpensive with good WiFi. The television fell out of the wall prior to our arrival and was face down on the floor, blocking one side of the bed. We were afraid to touch it due to the ominous sign warning that if it comes of the wall we will pay. The sheets were not clean. The milk for the instant coffee was spoiled. The tap water flowed brown for a bit, making me doubt the sign stating that the water is safe to drink. All these signs created an unfriendly atmosphere, especially the one admonishing us not to write a review when we are tired from travel or fighting with co-travelers. "It costs nothing to be nice" says this not-so-nice sign. The same sign states that the owners "are doing our best" and that may be so... but I would not recommend staying here.
My stay here was self check-in and out and I found that to be very quick and convenient. It is located in an easy location to walk to and from the train/ferry station. I would stay here again!
It's budget friendly.
A nice little hotel in a good location. But unfortunately with a very impolite, annoyed owner, who made us feel not very welcome. Since the owner couldn't be there at the time of our arrival, she gave us a number for a key safe which proved to be wrong. She accidentally changed the last two numbers in her e-Mail. We stood there, with two very tired kids, trying to open the lock and then trying to reach her via phone, which was impossible. A very friendly neighbour helped us and riet tried to reach her via mobile, then her brother in the hope, that he might let us in. If it wasn't her, we already would have looked for another accommodation (which would have been either impossible or very expensive). After 45 minutes of trying, the owner called me back, asking me, why I haven't looked at my e-mails and why I haven't tried hard enough to open the lock. She doesn't even consider her sending me the wrong code and she was very mad in the neighbor, who was so kind to help us. I had to give my phone to the neighbor and I could hear that she (the neighbour) excused several times for calling her brother and helping us. I felt so sad for the neighbor. There was no excuse, not even after we checked out, since she still doesn't seem to be there, which honestly was something, we were quite happy about. My resumee: Check th numbers twice before you try to check in or try to check in when the owner is there-perhaps, she can keep her temper on her own that time.
