Les propritaires de ce B&B sont trs gentils et se plient en quatre pour vous aider. Trs bonne nuit passe ici avant de finir notre sjour au Pays de Galles !

This made a great pit stop before the ferry. The owner was incredibly accommodating with our late arrival, and to our surprise was up 5 hours later to treat us to a cooked breakfast (which was perfect!!). The rooms were clean, comfortable and full of character. Cash only so be prepared for that.

My family and I stayed here in October 2012 and again in February 2013 and received the warmest welcome from this lovely property's kind and thoughtful owner, Rita. Having travelled over 350 miles, it made such a difference to find not only tea and coffee making facilities, but also the tastiest Welsh cakes in our rooms. The house was warm and welcoming and our bedrooms and bathrooms beautifully laid out. Furniture and beds were comfortable, we had excellent sleeps and started our day with the most delicious, beautifully cooked breakfast. The whole house is immaculate and it really made us feel very happy that we had chosen Yr Hendre because Rita's attention to detail obviously comes naturally to her. She is totally professional whilst at the same time making you feel that you've just visited your favourite auntie.

I'm a tour guide, live in the United States, but lived in Wales 1975 to 1985. I know the culture inside out, and speak Welsh. On the way to catching the ferry to Ireland for an Irish tour I dropped in to make a reservation for my return a couple of weeks later. Knowing the ferry from Dublin didn't get in until around midnight I thought I'd better reserve something, and was assured everything would be OK allowing fo the time it takes to disembark the ferry, and get to Yr Hendre about 5 minutes away.I offered a credit card to hold the reservation but the owner, a female, said it wasn't necessary.OK, so I run my Irish tour, and return to Wales on the ferry which is on time. I immediately went over to Yr Hendre, but the place is dark, and no-one will answer the door. After 10 minutes of this I give up. It's 12:30 am and I have nowhere to stay in Holyhead. Great! So I get on the A5 and motor to the North Wales coast to find a room at Premier Inn at about 2 am.I know what happened here. The owner didn't want to be up late to let me in, and accepeted a different reservation earlier in the day.Yr Hendre in Holyhead? Never again! Diolch am ddim thanks for nothing.
